A Wonderful Week To Finish September
We started the week off with a SURPRISE Second GA GA BALL ARENA! THANK YOU WCDSB Facilities and CSAC for your Advocacy!
Tremendous Job by Our Boys and Girls Softball Teams! Well Done! Thank you to Mrs. Smith and Ms. Taylor-Baptiste for coaching.
We enjoyed some FREE Pizza from our new provider Ginos. THANK YOU CSAC (Catholic School Advisory Council aka parent council) for supporting this!
Our staff were trained on our New AED machine to support CPR and save lives. The same trainer spent time with our grade 7/8 teaching them some First Aid and CPR.
We Had Our First Umbrella Assembly and School-Wide Mass. Congrats to our Students of the Month Winners!
We Raised over $600 for Terry Fox! Staff and students ended the week in such positive Spirits. A HUGE SHOUT OUT to Mrs. Farrow for organizing the event and for Mrs. Smith and Mr. Gallipeau for taking the lead on the neighbourhood walk.
Custodial Appreciation Day (October 2nd)
The Administrators of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all our Board Custodians and Maintenance Workers. Sunday, October 2, 2022 is “National Custodial and Maintenance Worker Recognition Day”. The role of the school custodian has changed immensely over the course of the past couple of years. We can’t thank our custodial staff enough for their hard work, their dedication to the job and their continued role in the safety of all. Mr. Marks and Mr. Forbes are the best!
We would also like to thank the many board maintenance workers that work hard in all our schools, to keep things running smoothly. Many times, your work is done in the early hours of the morning or the late hours of the evenings, and we don’t even see you in the building. We do however, benefit from your hard work everyday and recognize today, your important contributions to the success of our schools and our students.
Safety Drills Throughout This Week
This week we will hold several drills to ensure we are prepared to evacuate in an emergency. Please let your children know that they will hear the fire alarm and that it is normal practice to be ready if we needed to evacuate the building in the event of a real fire. We will also hold lockdown and tornado drills. Thank you for your support as we keep safety top of mind.
