We Begin our Lenten Journey…

This week we begin our Lenten Journey on Ash Wednesday. As a community, we will reflect on Wednesday what it means to embrace this part of our faith and accompany one another through this season of reflection. If you would like to know more about Ash Wednesday and Lent so you can talk about it with your children, feel free to check out this brief video below. It does a good job explaining the details in 3 minutes.

Pancake Tuesday Volunteers and Griddles Needed…

Our grade 8 students will be doing the lion’s share of serving the pancakes in our community, but we would love some parents to help support and supervise the pancake effort. We are looking for help in two ways:

1.  Arrive between 7:45 and 8:00AM and stay for about an hour to work a griddle and flip a few pancakes

OR

2. Lend an Electric Griddle to Mrs. Monteiro so she can use it to cook the pancakes.

Please contact Mrs. Monteiro by email (kristen.monteiro@wcdsb.ca) and request to be added to the volunteer list. You must connect with her by the end of the school day on Monday if you would like to participate. We really appreciate your help in making this a fantastic community event!
