Welcome Back!

As we continue our Lenten Journey, we are reminded that we travel together as a community. In our own ways as individuals we fast, pray and give without looking for recognition. However, we encourage each other to draw closer to God and celebrate the journey with each other.

Before the break, our Grade 8 students with a few parent volunteers had the entire school fed on Pancake Tuesday. It was very impressive. Also, almost all of our students brought a reusable plate and cutlery to cut down on the waste that the plastic and styrofoam single use options would have created. Well Done Defenders! We are on our way to being a Gold Certified Eco-School. Thank you to Mrs. Monteiro, Mrs. Schell and Mrs. Correa for making this happen. The Teachers won the Volleyball game again on our Beach Day on Friday, but they needed to bring back Mrs. Curtis to keep them ahead of the students! A great time had by all. Here are a few images from the tremendous week the Defenders had before the break.

Pepperstix Fundraiser Thank You…

More details will be released later in the week, but we are definitely on par with what we raised last year as a community. We will send out a Newswire later in the week describing the pick up process and releasing the final results. Stay Tuned and THANK YOU DEFENDER FAMILIES for partnering with us in a very tangible way to further all of our kids’ educational experience.
