Number Sense Routines At Their Best!

St. Peter CES has been working hard over the last few years at strengthening our skills in Mathematics teaching and learning. As a community, we have pulled together and developed consistent strategies for helping students understand the fundamentals of working with numbers in Primary. In fact, Ms. Luis’ class was visited by our Director, Loretta Notten, and 5 Superintendents to see how far we have come as a community of Mathematicians. They observed the grade 3 Math learning community in action, and we have set the bar high as a team for what quality Math talk looks like, feels like and sounds like in a Math classroom. We are very proud of our Early Years and Primary Divisions for all of their hard work! Well Done Team and GREAT WORK by Ms. Luis’ students!

Parent Council Meets This Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Library

We will be meeting this Wednesday evening in the Library at 6:30PM. All are welcome to join and participate. Mr. Hunt is looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know the council and community better.

Bingo Fun In Our Community

St. Peter CES benefits from the community support delivered to the school through proceeds from Bingo. If you can make the time to play this week, on Wednesday night there is a special charity event where even more money can help the students in our community. When you play, please let them know you are with St. Peter CES so they can increase the support we receive.

Called To Belong Opening Mass February 11th at 4PM~All are Welcome

Our spiritual theme for our pastoral plan is “Called to Belong.” The essence of belonging is acceptance and inclusion. It begins with welcome, but it takes work as a community to make sure everyone feels they are called to belong. This is important work happening at St. Peter, but also at all of our other Catholic Schools as well. We would love for you to attend the opening mass at 4PM at St. Anthony Daniel Parish in Kitchener to celebrate this important work. Our Grade 8s experienced the theme come alive during their Mt. Mary Retreat. We hope you can make it.

#BellLetsTalk Day January 30th: Who’s Got Your Back?

The month of January is all about new beginnings and reconnecting with old friends. As we journey as a community, we recognize that healthy relationships are essential to supporting mental health and wellness. We are encouraging you to have conversations at home with your children about who can support them when they are experiencing a challenge. It might be a staff member at the school, an extended family member or a peer. We all need to have each other’s backs at St. Peter and we want our families to be a part of the conversation.

As a community, we will show our support to mental heath and wellness by Wearing Blue on Wednesday
