One Spirit, Many Different Gifts

Today’s reading from mass St. Paul spoke to me, because I think the message reflects the awesome things happening at St. Peter School. It referred to the people of God having been blessed by One Spirit, but with many different gifts. In my brief time at St. Peter, I have noticed so many unique and wonderful people. If you journey into a Math class, you notice many ways of solving things. If a class is doing Art, you notice so much creativity. If a class is doing Phys Ed. in the gym, you see other individuals shine as leaders and encouraging teammates. The staff have been working hard to make sure that each child knows how valued and accepted they are, and the team collaborates daily to find the best ways for all of our children to move forward in their learning. It truly is a privilege to be part of the St. Peter family!

Our GREAT 8s Returned From Mt. Mary

It was a blessing to have journeyed with our Grade 8 students as they had an AWESOME 3 Day retreat at Mount Mary. A huge thank you to Mrs. Schell, Mrs. Monteiro, Mr. Schneider and Mr. Harnack for making this such an amazing experience for our students. Parents, your love letters were very powerful for the students and it made for an fantastic end to evening #2. Thank you for the partnership we have in supporting our graduates as they enter the final leg of their St. Peter journey.

Called To Belong Opening Mass February 11th at 4PM~All are Welcome

Our spiritual theme for our pastoral plan is “Called to Belong.” The essence of belonging is acceptance and inclusion. It begins with welcome, but it takes work as a community to make sure everyone feels they are called to belong. This is important work happening at St. Peter, but also at all of our other Catholic Schools as well. We would love for you to attend the opening mass at 4PM at St. Anthony Daniel Parish in Kitchener to celebrate this important work. Our Grade 8s experienced the theme come alive during their Mt. Mary Retreat. We hope you can make it.

#BellLetsTalk Day January 30th: Who’s Got Your Back?

The month of January is all about new beginnings and reconnecting with old friends. As we journey as a community, we recognize that healthy relationships are essential to supporting mental health and wellness. We are encouraging you to have conversations at home with your children about who can support them when they are experiencing a challenge. It might be a staff member at the school, an extended family member or a peer. We all need to have each other’s backs at St. Peter and we want our families to be a part of the conversation.
